Clifton, Arizona here I come!!

Clifton, Arizona
Well, hello family, So I'm sure you have heard that i have been transferred. Me and Elder Howard are opening up a new area inside the Duncan stake. We cover 1 ward and its called the Clifton ward. It is a very small area. We cover 4 different towns/communities. Clifton, Morenci, Verde Lee, and Loma Linda. There are not a lot of member in the area and there is also a very high turnover rate. Because Clifton/Morenci are a "one horse town" Over 75 percent of the entire area work at the mine that is located here. So people come and go all the time. So Me and elder Howard are doing are best to figure out who is even still here on the ward lists. And i am district leader, i wont go into details about that because i believe elder Moore mentioned all the stuff they have to do. Which is pretty crazy if you ask me. Like i cant believe I'm a DL already, even the rest of the missionaries here are like wow, 2 transfers and you a DL? so its pretty crazy.
And we are in a full car area, they gave us a brand new 2010 Chevy Malibu, which is nice but i would have rather gotten a truck, cuz we go on some pretty crazy roads that i don't think the "bu" can handle. But so far we have had a good go at it.
Well anyways, we live in the community of Verde Lee and our address is:
269 Wildlife Rd.
Clifton, AZ. 85533
It is this small trailer that out ward mission leader is letting us rent out. It is actually a good size but we still need to work on it. Like when we got there, they weren't expecting us for another week, so the floors weren't done, and there was just a lot of different projects that still needed to be finished. So aside from working and finding new investigators, we have been helping them out in putting floors in, the carpets, fixing and painting the walls, cleaning up the yard. But it is still a very nice place and i am very grateful i dont have to spend 4 dollars to do laundry anymore cuz we have our own machines!!! Its so cool, just being able to do laundry whenever we want, its nice. I have some pictures of the house, as far as inside and outside, and like before and after pictures. I will just send home the camera card so i don't have to upload all of them. and by the way, our NEIGHbors are horses, haha get it,neighbors, cuz horses neigh? is taht how you spell it? anyways, im really happy with the area im in.
The area that im in right now use to have 1 set of elders covering it, just one, they split it to make our area actually, they told me it was the 2nd largest proselyting area in north America, but it has been split now so its not as big, but it is still rather large, the other elders in my district cover 5 wards, wow thats alot. But because of the mission split, president walker says we are going to get our missionary count all the way back up to 180, cuz it dropped to 120, so once we get all these new missionaries, he will be able to elders in almost every ward that we have here.
There really is alot of potential in the Clifton ward though, like our first 2 days tracting, we were able to find 3 new investigators and set one of them with a baptismal date. His name is Brennan and he is 19 years old, and we taught him a 1st then set him a date to get baptized on the 14th, then to find out afterwards, his mom is a less active member, and so are his grandparents, and his sister has expressed the desire to get baptized as well. So just in this short time, we have been able to see all the potential that Clifton has to offer us. There are people here taht are ready to hear the message of the restored gospel.
So you have to hear this, just another clear example of how the lord provides for his humble servants. We went into this grocery store to get some grub (cuz they have no fast food places here what so ever, and we haven't established a meal list with the ward yet) and we go to buy a pizza. The pizzas are 7.49 and we have exactly 8 bucks cash. So we walk up to the counter and i ask "can we get one pepperoni pizza please?" and there was a voice from the back that said, "tell them it will be 40 minutes!" so i was like "rats, 40 minuets?!" well then this other person came from the back and was like "here they can have this one, it just came out of the oven and its fresh." so i was like sweet and we take the pizza and we start walking away and i look over to elder Howard and i said "see elder Howard, ask and ye shall receive, order pizza...and it shall be given unto you" hahaha oh boy, it was really funny.
Well family, i love you all so much, and i want to thank you so much for all of the letters and everything that you send me. I appreciate it so much. I love you.
